Calm Down. Relax.

12.04.2013

Sometimes we talk and complain a lot. I don't know why that is, but we, humans, just love to freak out when there's no need to.
I remember being in college and deciding to go to the beach in the middle of the day. All by myself. Or sometimes hitting the bar across the street between night classes. I remember when a friend asked me how I could be so calm all the time, being that we had classes from 11AM to 9:50PM almost daily and had tons of research, homework, readings, etc, to do. I don't know, maybe my hitting-the-beach time-offs helped. And wine at the bar, of course. Whatever it was, I always kept really good grades, despite of hardly taking the time off to actually study.
Keeping our minds, bodies and spirits calm is good for the soul... Helps us focus on what is really important and do our best at it.

  1. Great post Kelly! It is so true too, I could do with a visit to the beach or bar now!

    1. Thanks Emma. Truth is, when I get pissed, I get reaaally pissed. But 90% of the time, I'm a pretty calm person. =) Being calm helps us go through doubts, problems, life much easily.

    1. Hi Lucy! Welcome to the circle, then!
And yes, it is in us to be restless... but having peaceful moments in life is priceless. :)

  3. I remember making trips to the beach during college very much like that! Although, I couldn't work up the nerve to do it alone. Hope you have a relaxing weekend, Kelly!

    1. Trips to the beach are the best! I hate the beaches in the US East Cost. Blah!
But beach, movies, anything... I loved to do it with friends, but even more alone. :) Enjoy your weekend!
